GRAPHIC DESIGNER JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting all aspects of the agency brand, including
design, formatting, layout, graphics, and project management of agency print materials, logos,
advertising, photos, and digital images (social media and website). Projects will include internal and
external communications initiatives that further the St. Croix Hospice mission of delivering the
highest quality hospice care to patients, families, and caregivers. The ideal candidate will have
strong graphic design skills and a technical understanding of current interactive/web technologies
and emerging design trends.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize visuals based on creative briefs and prepare drafts for review.
- Execute graphic design of all branded materials.
- Develop and execute external and internal communication campaigns.
- Create scalable visual content for social media and website and other digital platforms.
- Edit, and design print collateral materials.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team to create innovative design solutions
for internal and external communication.
- Maintain and uphold branding guidelines and standards.
- In depth knowledge of current graphic design tools, standards, and trends, understanding of
corporate branding and audience, and ability to understand and uphold the agency brand.
- Create advertising materials as directed by the VP and Director of Marketing
Communications.
- Support the overall development of Marketing Communications Department programs,
messaging, guidelines, goals, objectives, tactics/actions, timelines, and budgets.
- Assist in the management of branding requirements and guidelines across the organization.
- Create and execute all projects with respect for patient and employee privacy and adherence
to all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in graphic design or a related field with 3-5 years of experience.
- Graphic design and project management experience, including digital and print.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, design, editing skills.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
The starting salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000 annual base salary. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: geographic location, relevant education, applicable certifications, depth of experience, and special skillsets. The total compensation package for this position may also include the opportunity to participate in employee benefits including our medical/dental/vision/pet insurance, disability and life insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) retirement plans, subject to applicable plan terms, and/or eligibility for other compensation.
