This anchor/producer position for KTRE will be based in Tyler.

Job Summary/Description:

We are looking for someone who loves hyper-local news and is ready to anchor weekday 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts and report daily on local news in East Texas. This position also manages, shoots, and reports a weekly child adoption franchise report. This position is based in KLTV's Tyler studios, with the broadcast reaching (and primarily focused on) the Lufkin/Nacogdoches viewing area.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Shooting, writing, and editing sports packages and other video items for TV and digital products
- Copy edit and provide feedback to reporter stories
- Managing, shooting, and reporting our Gift of Love adoption franchise weekly for both KLTV and KTRE audiences
- Posting stories online
- Potential for occasional live reporting on air and online

Qualifications/Requirements:

- A journalism degree or similar is preferred.
- A strong college program or professional experience working on camera is strongly preferred.
- Professional video camera and professional non-linear editing knowledge.
- Strong interest and study of local, state, and national news stories.
