Description
In this role, your key responsibilities will include accepting responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of documentation, writing high-quality technical content that effectively communicates complex information clearly and concisely, and coordinating closely with other members of the writing team to ensure consistency in detail, style, and presentation. You will also take responsibility for the documentation part of the user experience and proactively address challenges both individually and as part of the team.
Responsibilities of the role:
Update existing documentation to reflect new features, enhancements, and changes to the platform.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Engineering and Product Management, to ensure accuracy and completeness in technical documentation.
Work closely with the other members of the writing team to ensure consistency in detail, style, and presentation.
Write high quality technical content that effectively communicates complex information clearly,
concisely, and without jargon
The required qualifications for this position:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer
Excellent English writing skills
Experience in documenting public cloud products.
Proficiency in using Oxygen XML Author or a similar product to create documentation in DITA.
Experience managing documentation using Git and GitHub.
A BA degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, a related writing-oriented field.
**Please note that this role can be fully Remote and candidates need not be local to Palo Alto. Candidates within commuting distance to Palo Alto would be preferred.
**Candidate's will be asked to complete a technical writing exercise as part of the interview process.
