This position is part of the Official Journals of Government, Government Publishing Office in Washington,
District of Columbia. To qualify for the Lead Writer Editor, PG - 1082 - 13 , you must meet the following requirements:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Applicants must meet one year of specialized experience at the PG-12 (or equivalent) level or higher. Qualifying specialized experience is described as:
1. Providing editorial and technical advice with text editing software such as MicroComp and by proof reading.
2. Reviewing and correcting drafts of written material.
3. Communicating with internal and external customers.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
