Learning & Development Documentation Specialist Intern

Global Sales & Customer Support (GS&CS) Learning and Development (GLaD) is an organization within Siemens Digital Industries Software responsible for developing and coordinating enablement programs to aid internal and partner teams in successfully meeting their growth targets.

As a Documentation Specialist Intern on the GS&CS Learning and Development team, you will work under minimal supervision both independently using your own initiative, and collaboratively as part of a team. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and improving internal process documentation and asset management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of process documents and system guides.
  • Help implement and manage document storage systems to ensure documents are easily retrievable.
  • Ensure documents are accurate, consistent, and free of errors by regularly reviewing and editing them.
  • Design workflow charts and write requirements for system changes.
  • Assess new system resources and processes to ensure they meet business needs.
  • Work with different departments to gather necessary information and ensure documentation meets organizational standards.
  • Assist in making sure all documents comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Help provide training to employees on how to use and maintain documents properly.
  • Assist in protecting sensitive information by implementing security measures for document access and storage.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure all documents are up-to-date and reflect current business processes.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with document management systems, and basic knowledge of technical writing.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
