Remote Documentation Specialist

Insight Global is looking for a Documentation Specialist for one of our simulation software engineering clients. This person will work under the supervision of a more senior team member to create documentation deliverables. This role requires effective research, writing, and editing skills. The Documentation Specialistworks with development teams, keeping informed of product development activities to determine the need for new documentation as well as revisions, corrections, and changes in previously released materials.

Key Duties and Responsibilities-

Creates user documentation, tutorials, microcopy/user interface copy, and videos for products

Updates and revises previously released documentation

Relies on product team and subject matter experts to ensure quality and technical accuracy of content

Attains appropriate knowledge of both products and documentationtools, processes, and procedures

Capacity to develop user-centric documentation ensuring a high level of quality, consistency, and accuracy

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

3 years of experience in technical writing or documentation

oPreferably writing product documentation

Experience with build tools -

ooXygen, DITA, XML, Git, and Camtasia null
