General Responsibilities

Under general supervision, performs research, writing, editing, and production tasks. Writes targeted short form copy for digital assets such as social media posts, digital advertisements, infographics, presentations, etc., as well as stories, announcements, articles, etc. May prepare publication(s); coordinates design, content, layout, publication and distribution of newsletters, magazines, video and informational/promotional materials. Proofs copy and approves photography, illustrations and graphics. Obtains client and printer concurrence. Provides technical and topical consultation. May produce audio, video and broadcast media materials. Maintains master information files and databases. Assists in identifying potential markets and promoting department services and capabilities. Makes presentations as required. Assists with design and production of special assignments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field required and three (3) years of related work experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Fluent understanding of copywriting, targeted by audience; social media fluency, Adobe PhotoShop and InDesign experience a plus.

Patient Population Served

Potential patient contact during event, photography/video, research and outreach activities.
