Our client, a leader in the technical documentation field, is seeking a Technical Writer II to join their team. As a Technical Writer II, you will be part of the documentation team supporting various engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technical Writer II

Location: Conroe, TX

Pay Range: $36.00-40.00 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Create, edit, and illustrate various types of technical documents relating to standard products.
  • Independently research, write, rewrite, edit, and proofread technical material for engineering documentation and publications.
  • Determine the information required for each document and collaborate with engineers and technicians to collect necessary input.
  • Create and modify documents in MS Word and photographs in Photoshop.
  • Review documentation prepared by other team members to ensure editorial and technical quality.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communication, or a technical related field in Engineering.
  • Five years of experience in technical writing and end-user procedure documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Pro.
  • Some knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with oilfield equipment is a plus but not required.
