Job Description

The Content Marketing Director role, reporting to the Head of Content and Communications will develop compelling content strategies to enable customer, prospect, and partner engagement. This will include writing, publishing, and helping to promote content across various channels ensuring brand consistency and product value messaging to specific audiences. This role will help to establish processes, define best practices, and drive engagement across multiple channels, working closely with leadership and stakeholders to a ensure a compelling and cohesive brand voice that resonates with key audiences.

  • Create a comprehensive content strategy aligned with payment product features, target audience needs, and marketing objectives.
  • Articulate complex payment functionalities and benefits to customers through compelling content, addressing potential concerns and highlighting unique selling points.
  • Stay updated on payment industry trends, regulations, and competitor activity to incorporate relevant insights into content strategies.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted content that supports lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention efforts related to payment solutions.
  • Manage our partner newsletter program which includes article writing and editorial board leadership to ensure consistent messaging, valuable insights and action-driven content.
  • Create various content types including articles, whitepapers, and case studies.
  • Analyze content performance metrics to refine strategy and improve engagement.
  • Contribute to team content calendars and editorial processes.
  • Manage contract writers and external designers and agencies.
  • Ensure content is actionable and measurable to drive efficiency and value.
  • Position company voice to align with brand.
  • Ensure content is audience=centric and driven by market insights, voice of sales and voice of customer.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in content marketing with a focus on B2B, fintech or payments.
  • Strong storytelling and messaging skills with the ability to translate complex payment and solutions to clear compelling narratives.
  • Strong understanding of the payments industry, including different payment methods, processing procedures, and regulatory landscape.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams.
  • Maintain high ethical standards; gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity with a risk and controls mindset.
  • Team player. Results- and service-oriented with a passion for creativity and innovation.

Skillset attributes:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Proven experience in content marketing strategy development and execution.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing newsletters and editorial input.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and create new and better ways for the organization to be successful.
  • Independently handles multiple projects and meets critical deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to communicate effectively verbally, visually and in writing.
  • Skilled at subject line writing, headline writing, editing and knows AP Style.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00 - $144,430.00
